Hello, I’m Andrew Haig.

I am running for Birmingham City Commission to be a voice for homeowners.

My family has lived in Birmingham for over a decade. I’m a father, a homeowner, and a volunteer. I’ve been active in the city and currently sit on the Multi-Modal Transportation Board. We work to make the city’s walkways, trails, and paths safer for everyone who uses them.

If we cross paths, you may note in my accent that my childhood home is “across the pond” in the English countryside. During college, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sussex and a master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Hertfordshire. We live in the Torry neighborhood, where Angie and I are raising our two boys. By day, I am a program manager for a tier 1 automotive supplier.
